Reaching the top.
As we reach the top we can see the lagoon next to the path we’ve left behind. The glacier valley hidden by the nearby plateau. The Malacata Mountain Range just next to the Portuguese and Spanish borders. And at the far end, half way to Madrid, we can still have glimpse of Sierra de Gredos.

As the sun sets we get deeper into the valley. The melting ice and snow echoes through the growing rocky walls. A cosy sleeping bag awaits us.

Any specialist out there that can identify this little bird. Perhaps it is a Yellow Wagtail - Motacilla Flava. But I am not sure, ‘cause I know nothing about birds =]
